Paraplan is cheaper on the subscription
And that is fine: its entry plan is lower. The question is what it includes.
Both solutions are built for learning centers. We compare feature depth, AI capabilities, mobile apps, integrations and total cost of ownership — so you can choose the CRM that covers all your center's needs.
Paraplan is an inexpensive, straightforward record system for a small center: the «Start» plan is cheaper than any of ours, and for a single branch with basic needs that is a sensible choice. The difference shows up in three places: on «Start» integrations are unavailable, messengers connect through a third-party service with its own subscription, and we found no native mobile app — the work happens in the web version. For a center in Kazakhstan, add payment in roubles and the absence of Kaspi.
And that is fine: its entry plan is lower. The question is what it includes.
One for students, parents and teachers, the other for admins and owners. In Umai that is part of the product, not a separate project.
Paying the subscription in tenge, Kaspi POS payments and self-service QR payment by the parent.
How we counted →On the left, what happens. On the right, a live Umai screen — not a description of a feature.
A mother messages you on Saturday night. In Umai the conversation opens right inside the CRM: the AI bot answers on its own, knows the timetable and the open seats, books a trial class — and one tap on «Card» unfolds the lead beside it, with phone number, stage and owner.
Six months later, when that same mother comes back to renew, the whole conversation is in her card — not on the phone of an admin who has since left.
The amount is calculated from the classes actually paid for in the period — allowing for substitutions, co-teaching and days off. The teacher sees the same payslip in the mobile app, so there is nothing to argue about.
Seven calculation schemes: per class, per hour, a share of payments, a share of working days, per day, salary, and salary plus a share.
Three classes before it ends, a robot messages the parent on WhatsApp and assigns a task to the admin, while the student's card moves to the «up for renewal» stage on the client board. Nobody has to remember anything — the event happens by itself.
Eighteen such scenarios come ready out of the box and switch on in two clicks: trial reminder, first visit, missed class, overdue payment, birthday. No integrator required.
Not at month end after a reconciliation, but as a single number on the dashboard. For every debtor: the amount, the group and a «send a WhatsApp reminder» button. The debt appears by itself when a student attends a class and there is no payment.
The parent can clear it themselves: the portal and the mobile app show the remaining classes, the amount owed and a Kaspi QR payment.
Both products target learning centers — below we show where they overlap and where they differ.
* Some features may require an active integration with a third-party provider and a separate subscription. Competitor information is provided in general terms.
The scenes above showed how it looks. Here are three things you only see over the long run: how the product is built, what the plan includes, and what the first year actually costs.
A low entry plan is a strong offer, and we will not pretend otherwise. There is one caveat: on «Start» integrations are unavailable and there is a cap on client numbers. For a center that handles enquiries in messengers, the working configuration becomes «Business» plus a third-party service for WhatsApp.
Umai starts higher, but the subscription already holds chats, robots, portals, apps, branches, stock, the time tracker and reports.
A teacher marks attendance between classes, standing at the classroom door. A parent checks the remaining classes while queueing at a shop. That happens on a phone, and a web version works worse there than an app.
Umai has two apps on iOS and Android: one for students, parents and teachers, the other for admins and owners. The teacher marks attendance in one tap and sees their timetable and payslip. The parent sees the timetable, remaining classes, any debt, homework and a payment button.
Paying the subscription in roubles, Russian payment methods, no Kaspi and no Kazakh language — for a center in Kazakhstan that is daily friction and a question about where student personal data is held.
Umai is a Kazakh product: tenge, Kaspi POS and Kaspi Provider, self-service QR payment in the parent portal, a Kazakh interface, servers in Kazakhstan.
The subscription is only part of the spend. We count everything that lands in the budget.
137,000 ₸ for the subscription plus 432,000 ₸ for a third-party messaging service. On the bare subscription Paraplan is cheaper — that is honest, and if you do not need chats in the CRM the figure stays at 137,000 ₸. The difference is what is not included: WhatsApp and Instagram conversations, mobile apps, Kaspi, an AI bot and branches without surcharges.
* An indicative calculation based on the official Paraplan pricing as of 20.09.2026, converted at the National Bank of Kazakhstan rate on the publication date. The annual-payment discount follows the vendor's site. The cost of a third-party messaging service is counted separately. Check current terms with the vendor.
Three stories from different niches — what it was like before and what changed after.
«Our whole network of children's centers moved to Umai CRM — records, communication and payments are now in one place.»
«Before installing a CRM I studied and compared a lot of systems. Umai's main advantage is that every function we need is gathered in one system.»
«WhatsApp chats and automatic notifications took the load off our admins — more sign-ups, fewer missed classes.»

Both products are built for learning centers, but Umai offers native mobile apps for the team and students, built-in messengers without third-party services, an AI bot that answers clients in WhatsApp on its own (AI plan), and local data storage in Kazakhstan. Paraplan is a Russian product with a mobile web version and messengers via the Teletype service.
As of the publication date, Paraplan does not have a native mobile app for iOS/Android. Instead, it offers a responsive web version for browsers. Umai CRM provides separate native apps for admins and for students/parents.
Yes. We'll help export the student database, groups and memberships from Paraplan and import them into Umai. Migration usually takes 1–3 days including team training.

Paraplan subscription starts from 990 RUB/mo (Start plan, up to 80 clients, no integrations). Business plan with integrations — from 2,550 RUB/mo. Umai CRM — from 16,700 ₸/mo billed yearly, with mobile apps, messengers and support already included. The total cost depends on the feature set you need.
Umai CRM stores data on servers in Kazakhstan, which may be important for compliance with local personal data legislation. Paraplan servers are located in Russia.
